BRACHA Lichtenberg Ettinger
Bracha Lichtenberg Ettinger (born in 1948 in Tel Aviv to Jewish Polish parents from Żuromin and Łódź who survived the Holocaust) is a painter and interdisciplinary artist; one of the leading figures of the New European Painting, a groundbreaking theoretician of subjectivity, aesthetics and ethics, psychoanalysis (mainly Lacanian), sexuality and difference; Chair & Professor of Art and Psychoanalysis at the European Graduate School and a psychoanalyst. She has lived in Paris for 22 years and is now sharing her time between studios in Tel Aviv and Paris.
